Just FYI, the Pilgrims taught the Native Americans FAR MORE than the Native Americans taught the Pilgrims. Yes, the Native Americans helped the Pilgrims discern the particulars about certain peculiarities and unique circumstances of the New World, but they didn't teach the Pilgrims how to survive and thrive here.
How do we know this? Well, aside from primary sources (written records, diaries, jkurnals, receiptw, correspondences, etc.) there is also the glaring fact that the Massachusetts Bay Colony didn't abandon European civilization, farming, technology, etc., but rather taught those things to the natives, who adopted them to varying degrees.
The idea of the Noble Savage riding to the rescue is largely a myth.
Who knows?
