You could also rotate a case or two through the RV for drinking and cooking.

If it really was an SHTF, showers would probably be out and even questionable water can be used for toilet water. (as long as you had some drinking water)

Treating as indicated above, would keep it safe for drinking.

I think I might do the chlorine treatment for storage and run some of the treated water through all the water lines. Then, prior to a regular trip, I'd drain, flush, and refill with fresh city water. For SHTF/emergency, the treated water should still be fine.
