Structured Survival understanding that your NOT alone.

OK. I know this may fly in the face of many, but as pointed out on many other threads, there is an unusual split amongst the survival/prepper crowd.

The thought is geared toward an event-survival scenario, regardless of type or origin.

the two camps fall into the Lone Wolf bunch and the Crowd Sourcing bunch.
This may be something of a crass broad-brush, but understand what the intent it:

Those who see survival as a man alone in the woods thing, vs. the gathering together and rebuilding theme.

I fall into the latter because I was in the former and discovered the reality of the Lone Wolf situation was a disaster.

remember that in a SHTF or TENOTWAWKI situation, there WILL be survivors. To what number is unknown. But many of the survivors will also fall into two primary camps. The hysterical know-nothings and the cool headed bunch.

IMO from my experience the cool headed bunch KNOW they have to align with others to survive.

I am also old enough to remember when "they" were saying that the TEOTWAWKT situation would happen before 2000 never came and an entire industry of survival "surplus" gear was sold at a premium.

Much of that gear now sits mostly in land fills. Some still in use. But because the Blue Helmets never came, the guns in large part not grabbed (yes I know what's happening) and moreover that society continues to clammer on, much of the harem scarem stuff was just spoon fed BS handed out IMO from the people who looked at the survivalist crowd as morons.

From my experience in any situation, people should be allowed to remain individuals, but the work together aspect is critical to bring back a society that has gone boom.

What say you?
