This.

I'll take someone who knows NOTHING but whom I can hand a weapon to and say: "I'm going to sleep, if you need me pull the trigger and put a bullet into the dirt to wake me up while you keep watch" over an unknown Navy Seal.

And go read my "just chill out" thread.

MONEY IS A PREP!!!

And here I thought this would be hard like how to hide your preps (garden for food, firearms cuz shooting is fun, camping gear, geny when the power goes out etc.)

When all the "grid supplied toys" go away.
Be it SHTF, my offgrid existance (and I STILL 'borrow' things from the grid), or visiting the 3rd world... you learn quick that more hands are better.
Trusted hands are best.

Eta: I had roomate till I was 28 (granted, most of this time it was dictated by the Corps.) But it allowed me (along with driving junk cars, and an otherwise low consumption lifestyle) to set myself up for a much better lifestyle than I would otherwise been able to manage without debt.
-and far greater security after my injuries.

I just had 2 buddies visit for a week. SO GLAD not to have roomate now (@35) but when your used to it.... my advice is to stand it as long as you can (and take a % of what he pays and deligate it to financial preps. Either housing fund or retirement.)

Let's block ads! (Why?)
