Collecting rain water cistern

Planning ahead on my storage container build. Looking for ideas about alternate water supply. I have not checked on what the cost will be to tie into the public(co-op) water utilities yet. But currently plan to use an ibc tote out behind the container and fed from rain gutters to fill it. Mostly for non potable water use. But still wanting to filter before entering the plumbing.

Have not researched this very much. There are tons of affordable inline filtering units. Hopefully the replacement elements are going to be affordable in the long term use.

A inline boost pump with pressure switch fed from bottom of ibc tote then to plumbing into container.

Some of the people here have already been thru this and just checking what is working for you.

My water consumption is going to be very minimal, but hoping the cost of an alternate supply wont negate long term usage.

Any suggestions, insight and concerns are always appreciated.
