Committee for formulation a cohesive philosophy and goals for the liberty movement.

I've realized that in today's political climate, "our side", whatever that is, doesn't seem to have any level of organization or even a basic message. We can yell "come and take it" all we want, but for now, it's just a slogan for a group that isn't really a group at all.

"Our side", whatever we are calling it today, has no identity or cohesiveness. The left, or the progressives, communists, whatever we call them today, has hundreds, maybe thousands of groups that are all interconnected. They have overlap in funding, leadership, membership, philosophy, goals, actions, etc. What does "our side" have?

The NRA? Mention the NRA and half of "our side" will recoil in disgust. "They sold us out!"

The GOA? "Too small" some will say.

Mike Cernovich? "He's a cuck!" you'll hear.

Matt Bracken? "What a kook!"

Heritage Foundation? "Neocons!"

The Koch brothers? "They're in with the Bush family!"

Oathkeepers? "They suck!"

Mike Vanderbough? "Former commie!"

Rand Paul? Ted Cruz? Donald Trump? Steve Bannon? Some of "our side" likes them and some hate them, and there isn't much overlap.

So who are we? We have republicans, conservatives, neocons, libertarians, the Alt-Right, the Alt-LIGHT, the NEW right, the militia movement, the "Freedomistas", the 3%ers, white nationalists and everyone in between and it seems that these groups SHOULD BE ON THE SAME TEAM, yet they're all more focused on outing the other groups as "cucks", crazies or traitors.

We don't even have a goal of where we would like to be. All we know is that we don't like where we are going. We have to get on the same page.

I understand that the membership here does not all subscribe to the liberty movement (LM), which is about the best thing I can figure out to refer to "our side" as. I understand that we hear at SB don't speak for the whole lot of people who might consider themselves a part of the LM. But right now, we have a lot of people with a lot of good ideas and I'm not so sure that we are converting that into anything of substance.

I am proposing what HarmlessDrudge called a "committee of correspondence", perhaps anywhere from eight to twelve people to develop a short list of BASIC TENETS that I hope at least 90% of the LM could get on board with. Simple, basic, fairly short. This list and the details that go with it could be carried to the People's representatives starting with city councils and working up to whoever will listen. If a commissioner's office has to be called fifty times to arrange a meeting with a member of our committee to hear our philosophy, so be it. If we have to knock on a mayor's door in person, so be it. If we have to call a senator ten times a day, everyday until we are on a first name basis with his staff, so be it. We don't have to be jerks. We don't have to yell at anyone or make threats. But there is a large movement in America today that is gaining followers, but has no real identity. No cohesive message or solutions. I don't think our leaders from the city council members up to the President are really hearing that movement.

If we could get a basic philosophy, and create a message, perhaps a small group of 8-12 SB members could get that message into the offices of the people who are supposed to be the decision makers.

HarmlessDrudge, you're up. I would also hope to see Fillzee and PaulKersey in here, as well as the other members who consider themselves proponents of natural rights and small government.
