We tried bringing back banned members. The same thing played out each time. For a while, they walk on eggshells trying not to get banned again. We walk on eggshells trying not to make them feel like they're under scrutiny. In time, they get comfy and settle in again, and go right back to the behavior that got them banned in the first place. It has never failed.
