1. A soft word turns away anger.
I credit this idea to an email that compared such Biblical principles as vastly superior to those contained in How to Win Friends & Influence People. So, the risk I take is to subject this claim to a scientific test - put Biblical principles into practice is beneficial EVEN IF you do not believe in God.
To quote Covey, I see this test as WIN-WIN-WIN.
WIN: If the atheist embraces Biblical principles because he has convinced himself they work, praise be to God.Naturally, most atheists will claim they 'do not have time' to implement such a test. That is a dodge, an intellectual dodge and they will know it, a subset of the 3rd WIN.
WIN: If the atheist tests Biblical principles and determines they don't work, the FACT that he took up the challenge reveals a mustard seed of faith for he must have doubt about the result to put it to the test.
WIN: If we generate this list and an atheist rejects the challenge, it reveals a mustard seed of doubt the atheist since he is unwilling to scientifically test the power of the Word.
(As principles are proposed, I'll add it to a subsequent post.)
