But I am bothered when people violate the rules of safe handling.
Also a bit concerned about the number of people that think they need to carry "condition 1", or whatever it is called when the pistol is chambered, hammer back and off safe. You are vastly more likely to shoot yourself or me in the foot than any benefits from gaining a .1 second advantage in confronting a bad guy.
In real life, things go wrong. it is good when it doesn't result in blowing a hole in yourself. There are Berettas that let you drop the hammer for safe carrying while chambered. And other pistols that have safeties. Or just leave the chamber empty.
if you are carrying in public, your decision to carry impacts others as well. That weapon should be carried safely. Not a hair's breath away from firing if the weapon is dropped, jostled, not seated right in the holster, or if the holster has some design defect, or the leather has curled with age, etc.
