Bull barrel heavy barrel = useful for SHTF?

I've found info about this scattered throughout this forum but only in threads about specific rifles or calibers, I was hoping once and for all to settle bull barrels themselves in general: are they good for SHTF?

If I've understood it right, they are MASSIVELY heavier with their only benefit being ever so slightly better accuracy, and handles better if you shoot very many rounds in short succession (which you probably won't do unless you have full auto and/or massive amounts of ammo)
