How do you LABEL soft things (bags, backpacks etc)?

one of the best prepping equiptment I've ever bought was a label maker, by labeling my boxes, drawers etc my preps has gotten crazy more organized!

However I can't use sticky label-maker tape on things like backpacks and bags, and that's really a shame. I have a lot of BOB-type backpacks, many of which has addon molle side packs, it would have been so awesome to be able to label, but I don't know how.

ANy creative solutions?
