Re-using or upcycling plastic/foam bullet trays

Okay, so you buy a 1000 round shipment of ammo, and the ammo comes in 20 or more small cardboard boxes, with plastic 50 round holders. You dump all that ammo out into a ammo can to save 1/2 the space and not insignificant weight.

Instead of just recycling, is there any useful uses for these trays?

Rifle ammo, I've seen these with belt loops for field use.
Pistol ammo, I've seen folks use a few trays to hold small tools organized on a work bench.

Anything else?
