"Born To Be Wild"---at age 64?

OK--so I'm at my Ford dealer this morning. Looking to buy a new car to replace the 2007 Focus SE I currently use.

On the showroom floor is this mean-looking purple Ford Cobra Shelby GT 500 convertible. And I'm awestruck. I suddenly find myself seriously considering buying this car. I mean REALLY seriously.

So here I am, a 64 year old bachelor. With visions of myself cruising down the open road. Top down, the wind in my hair.

While "Born to be Wild" is blasting out in Dolby surroundsound stereo.

So I confess to the salesman what I'm thinking.

He tells me that his biggest customers for this car are men (and more than few women!) who are in their 50's and 60's.

He even sold one to a 74 year old!

Looks like I'm having my "late life crisis" coming-on in spades!

But seriously---how many other guys out there my age, don't secretly yearn to do something like this!
