Magazine emptying

How often do you unload your edc or bob mags? I don't mean firing all the rounds until the mag is empty either. I mean how often do you empty them so that the springs can extend and relieve the pressure? I usually do this with my ghb pistol about once a month with the three total mags for the Beretta. Once I get my AR's up to speed, I'll do the same.

I was told years and years ago to never inevitably leave mags full all the time because it could weaken the spring.
