Try to ignore the ugly welding job. The transom is water tight.
I've got some ideas. All involve some sort of tool that fits inside the tube and presses the tube back into shape. I thought about an expanding concrete anchor, tubing expander, or swagging tool.
- The concrete anchor won't be strong enough and I can't get one that's 0.90" OD.
- There isn't a tubing expander that will fit that size either.
- I could make a swagging tool that would fit but I'm afraid that if I drive a tapered tool into this tube, I might not get it back out without doing more damage than I have now.
Any other ideas? What would you do...besides drilling out and replacing the existing tube.
