Yakutian Knives

Anyone have any experience with this style of blade? "Yakut knife is a traditional ethnic knife of the indigenous people of Siberia and Far East Russia. My interest was rekindled watching a Nova special that had a segment on the yakutian horse. Both the horse and the cows have made some astounding physiologic and morphological adaptations since these peoples fled the Mongols into one of the coldest regions of the World.

The blade appears to have a large fuller on the flat side and convex geometry on the other. Pic from the above link:
