Budget take town .22

Hello y'all,
Thought I would post and easy diy project I just finished. I have wanted a take down .22 for some time to throw in the trunk if my car. I wanted something light, cheap and capable, but did not have the budget for the 200-300 it would take to get a production take down rifle.

The rifle used is a Mossberg 702 Plinkster that cost me a whole $107.00 at Walmart. The rest of the items were extras in had in my gear with the exception of two screws, some washers and a small bag from my local thrift shop.

My end goal was to have .22 that I could store in my car without talking much room. It had to be able to be taken down and put together with no tools and be ready to fire in under 30sec. I also wanted a sling and butt stock pouch all for $115 or less.

Supply's
2x 5mm 1 1/4 in hex head screws
20x 5mm small diameter washers to fit in the stock screw holes
1 back pack
Supper glue
Tennis bag or similar
50 ft para cord
Items to add in but stock pouch such as fire, water filter ,first aid, extra ammo ect.
Pair of wifes yoga pants

First be sure the rifle is clear.

Next remove the two stock screws holding the weapon together (located on ither side of the trigger Guard).

Next replace with the two purchased heax head screws, make a spacer with the washers to make the longer screws protrude so they can be removed with finger's. The rear screw will take 9 washers and the forward will take 8. I simply super glued them on top of each other than slipped them onto the screws.

Now the rifle can be taken down/put together with no tools. I am keeping a hex wrench in the but pack so, I can tighten further at a later time if and when the situation would allow.

The but pack was made from the front pouch of an old back pack. I simply cut it out and oriented it on the but stock as appropriate and used para coard to secure it as pictured.

The rifle does not come with sling studs so I took a para coard sling I had made and secured it in between the but plate and stock by removing the screws, tying nots in the sling ,placing the knoted coard in the stock than re placed the but plate to clamp it down (sorry I could not think of how to say that).

The last step was to get a small case to store it in. I went to my local thrift shop and found a mandolin case which is perfect. I took an old pair of pants to make sleeves for the stock and barrel for additional protection.

I added various items I thought appropriate to the but stock pouch and now keep it all secured in my trunk. I feel that this along with my ccw fire arm will suffice as part of my vehicles bug out system. And be useful in many situations. Please let me know if I missed anything as I usually do video reviews so any criticism will be appreciated.
