External choke for shotgun

Hi All

Kind of just thinking out loud here.

I dabble as a hobby machinist and I have wondered if it would be possible to make a slide on, think muzzle break, external choke for shotguns.

I am not at the level that I could thread a barrel for an internal choke but I got to thinking that maybe a sleeve that was held on with set screws could work.

Any thoughts?
