I'd have both if I could. If only one slot available, then I'd probably go with a Seagate Hybrid. It's part SSD and conventional. The drive calculates most used software (ie. OS, programs.....etc....) and keeps it in the FLASH memory portion of the drive for better response times. The rest of the drive is conventional allowing for a lot of free space.
I currently am running a Macbook Air with an SSD and it's by far, 3 years later, still the fastest computer I use to date. Due to it's smaller capacity and read/write wear, I keep only the OS and Programs on the ssd and use an SD card and/or external drives for my files.
Let's block ads! (Why?)
Would you go for an SSD?
