HABITUAL long term FOOD Buying

What are some of the Simple & Easy Food Items you should throw in your grocery basket when you go to the market (where ever you shop)? I'm talking about simple Items like $10.00 worth of pasta. Extra cans of Tomato sauce. I've discovered that Top Ramen noodles do go rancid, but the packets I'll hold on to.

I thought Beef Jerky sounded good, but the average bag of Jack Links expires in 6 months. That's a myth you see on prepper programs. Sure, If you kill a cow you can make it last 6 months by drying it, That cool, but it's not a good investment here and now.

I've friended Marshall Masters on FB and he brings up a good point. Your food preps are basically intermediate preps that should be designed to get you to a new food system. 2 years of food is still just a transitional survival mechanism. I argue that we may not have a sustainable atmosphere for growing vegetables or raising cattle & chicken.

But what should you be buying when you go to the store to prop up your survival food? BTW, I think Multi-Vites are a good thing to pick up. Yeah I know the vitamins are in no way equal to the vitamin found in real food. But if you're living off of pinto beans and Rice, I think you'll be a bit stronger if you stock pile some Generic one a days.

Can you give me your favorite food Item you can't get enough of? And yes, I buy as much bottled water as I can when it's on sale.

Let's block ads! (Why?)
