gunsmith estimate

I've never been to a gunsmith,and have no desire at the moment to DIY.

2 years ago I got a freebie in a package deal,old stevens sxs 12g.
Loose action/lock-up,cracked stock,dirty/surface rust..just in poor condition.
Time to do something with it.

I'd like to see if its functional or can be fixed,and if so repair/replace the stock,cut it down to 18.5,clean it up some.Not really sure how much I'm willing to put into it,maybe up to 150$..don't know,depends on what he says.

Anyways,it will take him time to look it over,and come up with a price or tell me if its worth it or not.So,whats a ballpark figure to get an estimate..free...20$..40$.Its a store I've bought from in the past,just never had any work done by the "crankey ole'man" in the back.
