So I have got into casting for rifle, well glorified pistol(300blk) lately and it has me wondering. Is leading really an issue when it comes to hunting loads? Thinking a reliable and accutate load does produce excessive leading why should that stop one from using that particular load when the usage will only be firing a few shots between cleanings and not blasting triple digit roaund counts at the range?
What I know is leading makes it harder to push the bullet down the barrel increasing chamber pressure but I just can't see that being an issue when only a handful of shots might be fired between cleanings.
