North Korea agrees to Complete Denuclearization

The denuclearization of NK has been agreed twice before in 1992 and 1994:

and yet here we are........

The first part of the agreement this time is "security guarantees" for NK. These were not specified - but I imagine they involve some promises from the US not to attack the DPRK, maybe halt military drills with SK and maybe even something about turning the ceasefire into a peace agreement.

If this agreement eventually leads the US to withdraw troops from that region, it will have been a big win for....................China - who I suspect to be behind much of what the DPRK has done for quite a long time.
