SHTF Rifle Caliber Choices: .308, .223, and 6.5 Creedmoor

The ballistics of the 308 are far superior to the 223 especially in heavy cover or large game animals in my opinion. I like the 223/556 but if I were bugging out, my rifle of choice will be my M1A's.

But my AR's will also make the trip if I am bugging out in a vehicle.

The ammo for the 308 and 223 should be common as they are both NATO rounds. I don't know much about the 6.5 Creedmore, but I suspect it will be much like the 10mm, a good round, but not plentiful enough to find enough in a SHTF scenario.
