My assumption is that the more "straight-clip" blades in a slight drop are more suited to general tasks, whereas the more curved/upswept Bowie-clipped blades are likely better suited as skinners and of course the historical reputation as a fighting knife. Am I off base or missing something; or is the curved "Bowie" clipped blades just in another category? I just did a search for "clip-pointed" knives, and it gave a very broad spectrum of that definition...
