Beck Prefers Sanders Over Trump

It boggles my mind that so called conservatives say they'd prefer a socialist over Trump, http://ift.tt/1QmXFIV. Beck is not the only conservative to come out like this.

It seems that it is always better for your team to win. In football, no one would say if the QB cannot get the job done they'd rather the other team win than the running game of defense. This makes no sense to me. Can anyone explain this?
