Dump trailer problems.

DefaultDump trailer problems.

I recently picked up a used BriMar 6x12 double axle single cylinder power up gravity down dump trailer. The thing works like a champ from spring through early fall, it goes up and down as it's supposed too. Then soon as the outdoor temps get in the 40's the trailer goes up but when it comes down it's very slow, over an hour to go completely down.
I have replaced the fluids, filter, checked the relays/wiring/connections, greased the hinges etc, and checked the screens in line with the cylinders. No problems found.
I have determined the problem is with the hydro fluid is just too cold, I can point my heater at the tank for several hours and the trailer will go down like it should, by the time I heat the tank then drive to the landfill the tank has cooled down enough that it won't go down again.
Does anyone have an idea that will heat the tank while driving? Maybe a 12 volt heater? It would have to be something that won't stress my trucks electrical system and something that won't burn down the dump trailer. And it has to be small enough to fit in the box that houses the tank about 12x24
