Hello from California

Hello group,

A little about myself. I am a 29 year old (about to be 30), 6 year army veteran. I was a signal support system specialist and correctional guard during my time in the service. I am 6'1 with a 250lb solid build. I was born and raised in California. I have no kids or a wife/girlfriend. I am currently going back to school for an A.S. in computer networking administration, even though I am well aware it probably wont amount to a darn thing when I finish. The only reason I am doing it because I have to G.I. Bill and they are paying a decent paycheck just to go to school. I don't have much in the form of social media anymore except an Instagram account. Reason being, I like to look at pictures. Over the past few years since I got out of the military. I have become tired of the way society has developed. So I intend to fix the situation by removing myself from it.

My long term goal consists of moving to Alaska and finding a nice piece of property out in the bush and away from everything. Once I have acquired said property I intend to build a log cabin, and create a self sustaining homestead with little to no help from the modern world. While I work to pay off the property I intend to gather the tools needed to keep my future homestead up and working without the use of a lot of modern day luxuries.
