Storing Powdered Pectin

I was going though past post about storing pectin and couldn't find much on storing it. I seen one of MikeK's old post and he stated that if it was stored right it should last just about indefinitely.

I bought some at Kroger today because they had it for 0.99 cents for a 4.7 oz jar of it. I check the best by date and it is Sept 2017. I went to the area where this is normally kept and it is $4.94 regularly and has the same best by date, Sept 2017. I think they ordered to much of it and put some on their clearance shelf.

My question is, how would be the best way to store this until needed? I could just leave it on the shelf until next year and make some more jam or jelly with it. I would like to keep it the best way possible just in case it does not get used next year (I have quite a bit of jam now). Would putting it in the refrigerator help any or should it be put into smaller mylar bags (make small bags to fit each jar of content into)? Also if putting it into mylar is an option should an O2 absorber be used, or would the moisture created by the O2 absorber cause it to clump.

If the mylar is a good option I might go back and get more of it for future use. I like getting things on sale when I can. It saves money in the long run.
