That iwatani is the better made japanese model with a heat sink to help the butane stay hot and free flowing. They also make a more expensive model and a grill though that looks like a pain to keep clean.
I just saw the canisters at a restaurant supply called cash and carry for $2 a can. Asian stores often carry them, like $1 on sale.
These units are small and handy. But as mentioned the propane units are better for long term use. You have two burners and a BBQ 5 gallon bottle lasts much longer.
If you get a propane lantern it is very bright. But the mantles are very fragile, get a lot. I suspect running led light is much cheaper but not as bright in lanterns.
