I'm thinking about how one can beef up building perimeter security with steel doors, great locks, window security, etc, so someone would have trouble breaking in.
But what if you are alone and have a fall or a heart attack and can't open the door? Even if you can phone or wear an alert device around your neck to auto-call for help, how can you open the door while stuck in one place, not able to move? The measures that keep the burglars out seem to also keep out emergency responders.
I know that any perimeter security can be overcome, given enough time and resources, but some way of unlocking the front door quickly while incapacitated seems to be what is needed. Anyone know what can be done?
