I managed to get my hands on an old decorative waki, looks at least 15 years old. Its a cheap peice, but i was bored over the weekend so i restored the blade. It came up pretty nice, i put an edge on it and oiled it as its not stainless steel. This gives me hope that its not chinese crap. Also i noticed that the blade hilt is encased but it has the rod that the blade was formed from extending through the full length. Sorry about the crappy photos (see below)
