So, what skills are you looking for in your group?

I'll bite.

I'm 26 years old, and I'm not a part of a group other than with my immediate family. My step-father has vast construction knowledge as well as some mechanical, raised chickens for years, hunted, and taught history for over 30 years at the high school level. My mother is a registered nurse and also taught children at elementary level at some point.

I don't possess any certifications or degrees past a high school diploma (technically a GED) for reasons I won't go into in detail other than to say I have New Daily Persistent Headache Syndrome and if you've ever had a really bad headache picture having that 24/7 for years and trying to go to college classes. Not easy. What I do posses is an awareness of what is happening and what could happen, a lot of theoretical knowledge that is self-taught on almost any survival scenario, a lot of self-taught skills (some of which are practiced and some have not been), and things of that nature. I have a plan, I know where to go to get supplies and which places will be less crowded if it comes to that. I have a lot of disjointed knowledge about a lot of subjects (mainly of interest to me: survivalism, history, psychology, sociology, trauma care) which is far from ideal but I'd like to think much better than nothing.

The only other thing I bring to the table is something that I've found to be fairly common in people that have gone through major trauma in their lives which is that I notice almost everything around me all the time. I can't turn it off, and while it is often annoying, since beginning prepping, I have learned to view it as a gift.

I don't bring much, but I am well-supplied and well-prepared mentally, which I believe puts me way ahead of most people out there, although obviously not ones within this community. I'm not trying to build myself up as I am well aware of the fact that I don't have many tangible skills or certificates or degrees about what I can do, but I'm smart and I'm always willing to learn.

All that out of the way, you sound like you would be a significant asset to any group and you have an impressive list of accomplishments. Thank you for your service.
