Some gun talk from an Italian guy

Hi, I wanted to open this conversation about gun shops and firearms where I live.

Shotguns
The king caliber is 12 gauge and the most common firearms are the semiautomatic hunting shotguns, followed by double barrelled side by side and under and over shotguns.Almost the total majority of the firearms you will find in an gun shop(and i think in all Europe too)
20 gauge and smaller guns are less common but sure there is someone who is using them.

Rifles
For rifle and carbines 308,and 30.06 the most common are used for wild boar:
bolt action and semiautomatic ones.
Surplus rifles are sold often(like mauser and mosin, and one day I will find a good SKS to buy ),sure there will be some guy shooting some rare caliber from a lever action rifle..but those are the rifle bore guns I see when I go to the gun shop
You can buy "tactical" rifles like AK,Ar 15 platform FN FAL,BM59 etc. are rare and expensive but some have 5 round magazine limitation(other 29 rounds and I know its a mess to understand for the Law what firearm it's a sporting one or a military one) are expensive but not forbidden(yet)

Handguns
9mm is forbidden for civilians(but there is 9x21 IMI and its better round if you reload your ammo)most common round for semiauto are 9x21 IMI 7.65 Brigadier(.32 ACP) 9mm Corto(.380 ACP),yes you can find .45 ACP and .40 S&W but are less common.38 Special is the most common revolver round,357 mag. are rare to find, and .44 special and .44 magnum are like unicorns

There are some ugly limitations about what you quantity of registered guns and ammo you can own in Italy. You won't give a **** (me neither)

Can be boring reading my post about the poor choice i had in my "SuperMarioLand/Guido Country" that I shared, but thank to this site section I learn a lot about firearms, more than those "expert" selling guns in those little shops in the area where I live.
