This is yet another example of a person living in a left wing echo chamber who is unable to apply common sense to any equation. This anti-gun nut, like most liberals/progressives/socialists, projects her own insecurities to others, and thus deems them unworthy.

Imagine, just imagine, if a conservative professor wrote a similar essay about a student who was an advocate for affirmative action, and found her unworthy of a letter of recommendation because of these beliefs. The leftists would be howling in outrage...
