This may be true for you, but the first time I picked up a Glock it felt more natural. It was like pointing a finger. I agree on the 19 though, the mid size frames put the grip hump in the wrong place for me. I do not shoot them as good as the sub compact or full size Glocks, so I don't buy them. I have a full size and a baby Glock and I shoot them extremely well.
They might like the M&P better, the trigger thing is all personal. I can't stand M&P triggers compared to Glock. Overall I go with your advice. Try a bunch of different plastic pistols that try to be a Glock before you get a Glock, someone else might make a Glock with features they might like better than the original. |
I personally don't like Glocks, but my reasons are purely subjective. They're good, reliable weapons.
I like the lack of extra crap, and when I tried them the S&W felt like it was made for my hand. A friend feels that way about the glock, so it's all up to personal preference.
Most guns today made by a reputable manufacturer will be reliable, so it's hard to go wrong.
My first recommendation for a .45 acp pistol would actually be the beretta px4, but I got the impression the OP was looking for a striker fired gun. Sweet shooting, reliable gun, worth a look for sure. My EDC is an M&P but my wrol/zombie gun is my PX4
Intervention needed, next firearm purchase.
