My guess at this point would be too much organics in your soil (too rich or not composted enough, too much decomposing still going on.) or maybe the whole thing heated up too much. That sometimes happens to raised beds or pots and buckets right out in the sun. May need light shade at the height of the day. When starting growing inside some people turn a fan on light to gently blow.
At any rate the mold may be damping off disease. Too wet down inside. It's easy to kill with spritzing with dishwater-- NOT Dawn nor automatic washer detergent-- mix soap and water about the strength you would with dishwater. Spritz on soil top, not getting much on the plant itself for 3 or 4 days.
