cutting alternator belt?

which vehicle? rent the wrench from thhe parts place, most do. do it on the side of the road. or spray the tensioner bushing down with lube. and limp to the parts place. anything besides risking a engine failure over something so cheap and quick.

i have a 2016 engine on the table right now, new bearings, rods,pistons and a clean up hone, because he knocked a hole in a engine cover. decided to drive the bike from where he went down (soft slide) the 2 miles from his house. that 56$ cover cost him 4000$ aint worth it unless some one is bleeding out.
thats why i like old V belts. I have driven home with a women's set of panty hose in place of the belt......3 belts always better than 1..........
