Fixing a Mercury Outboard water pump

I purchased an 18 yr old fishing boat last year. My wife and I just got the time to play on the lake yesterday. http://www.survivalistboards.com/sho...290&highlight=

The motor starts and runs great, but the it does not pee freely. It has a small tell tale port on the right side that only dribbles water, not squirts water. I strongly suspect my water pump impeller need replacement. I will also check for insect nests.

How hard is that?
