Temporal punishment

Believe it or not I’ve been in a rut lately, I haven’t lost my faith but you could say I’ve definitely been lukewarm (sinning like crazy etc.).
I hadn’t been to confession in a while and I was afraid to because I thought that I might still continue to sin...

Anyways, I ended up losing my job recently and I think that it was God’s way of punishing me for my sins.

Things are starting to brighten up for me though. I made a valid confession, and I feel like the Lord may in fact be blessings me in the long run. I think I just need to trust in the Lord.
