Question about rifle flashlight...

I have bought lots of different rifle flashlights from aliexpress, but problem is, I don't understand what I'm supposed to do with the remote, it's basically just a strip you press on, am I supposed to duct tape it to the rifle grip or?

When I view youtube videos of rifle flashlights they seem to have picatinny installation things, am I supposed to buy those spare? What is the name of such a product as I can't find anything of the kind?
