Deciding what Glock.

Hello internet.

Long story short, I'm getting a new carry pistol and I've decided to get a compact Glock. The part that has me hung up is which one. Basically, I'm looking at the 19, 23 and 30sf. I have good reasons for choosing each of them, and i just can't make up my mind so I'll go through my thought process.

Glock 19:

It's a Glock 19. I don't really have anything to add here. It's a 19. The biggest advantage here is that I already have 9mm ammo because that's my current primary handgun caliber in my preps.

Glock 23.

Obviously, .40 is more impressive than 9mm ballistically. There's also barrel changes to use 9mm, and vice versa. The biggest advantage here is that this is the gun the local PD in the city I'm moving to use. I don't anticipate swapping mags with my friendly neighborhood police officer, but if stuff goes south and society does a backflip it might be nice to have ammo and magazines in common with the LEOs.

Glock 30SF:

I have two main reasons for considering this one. The first and foremost is that I'm going to be in moose country, and a 45 throws a much bigger bullet than a 40 or 9mm. And they've been having problems with moose at one of the places I'll be spending a lot of time.
The other part is that I'll be doing some work with the local Sheriff's department, which uses .45 (they technically issue Sig P220s, but according to the people I've talked to most of them use 1911s and G21sf.).
Again, i don't anticipate sharing mags and such during Alamo pt. 2, but there is something to be said for using similar gear to the department.

Honestly, I'm leaning toward the 19, just because of the ubiquity of the darn thing. But the 30 has its appeal, too.

I'm reloading now, so I can build up some stocks of whatever caliber I go with, so that isn't an issue.

I'm just looking for opinions to help me make my decision, since I have a short window to purchase due to living in a state that requires a ten day waiting period, and moving in 21 days. So let the caliber wars re begin, again, still, more.
