L460e, L465e same to TC ?

2004 suburban , FINALLY got the tranny out ( no wonder they want $2K+ for that job )
L460e want to go to the L465e to avoid burning the 3-4 pack again
Acquaintance may have a L465 may or may not have a torque converter.
Can the L460 TC be used with the L465?

I told the boss getting a rebuild would be better than rolling the dice with one "laying around"
