Clueless, or brilliantly evil?

In recent years, people on the left have asked, seemingly reasonably, how it can be that the left-wing politicians we so despise can be simultaneously ignorant/stupid, on the one hand, yet brilliantly evil, on the other. And on its face, it seems an honest question. The answer is, however, quite simple: they are not themselves.

Today's upcoming Democrat party stars are not the ambitious anything-for-a-win political hacks of yesteryear, with whom we are all thoroughly familiar. Instead, they are face and body boys (and girls), models and actors in the mold of Derek Zoolander; they are simpletons who are too rudderless to have any original ideas of their own. They are, for lack of a better term, meat puppets.

Well, that's who they are physically. But like any good (mediocre?) actors, they are merely the vessel. They do not contain the soul of who was elected. They are merely portraying a character that was, in most cases, better written than they can do justice.

The real brains behind the operation are think tanks and consortiums like the Justice Democrats. By now we are all well aware of how AOC became a Congresscritter via a casting call. Yes, she is the human body that the people of her district elected, but she is not the mind and soul, largely self-evidenced by the fact that she barely has either. The Justice Democrats were elected, and she was merely their flesh wand, a facile golem made crudely to speak on their behalf.

While this may be the most brazen and overt example, it is hardly the first. Consider that Obama was a gibbering imbecile each and every time he deviated from the teleprompter, yet when he read from the teletype, he was hailed as a polished genius. The simple truth is that he was just clever enough to stick to the script and be an adequate meat puppet. We didn't elect Obama; we elected the guys who scripted the teleprompter.

Of course, Obama was tapped, while the newer generation of Democrats were cast, but the basic truth remains the same: gone are the days of the self-made Democrat politician who rises to the top by setting their own policies and deciding for themselves which of their opponents needs to commit suicide. We now live in a post-Clinton world, in which the brain and soul is bifurcated from the body and the pulse. And that means we have NO means of vetting candidates, nor having any inkling who is actually running for office.

Transparency may forever be in our rear view mirror.
