Here are the two that I am most interested in attending:
Access and Functional Needs Preparedness Planning for Rural Communities
and
Mass Fatalities Planning and Response for Rural Communities
From a personal standpoint, I want to know what "they" have to say and what their planned responses would be to specific scenarios. From a professional standpoint, I work in the medical field and SHTF situations would definitely impact my workplace.
The trainings are free but you have to register to sign up for a spot. The catch?...
When you register your information goes into a FEMA database. That makes me very uncomfortable and seems like it would put me squarely on someone's radar.
The courses are offered through the Rural Domestic Preparedness Consortium, which is tied to Homeland Security.
