I am interested in maybe buying a handgun that I can wear around my homestead if the S ever does HTF. I live in black bear and wolf country though I have only seen sign. I like revolvers much better than semi-autos and I can shoot them much better at long range. I would prefer a 6 inch barrel. I have been on several You tube sites regarding the Ruger GP 100, 7 round, SS .357 mag. I have an older SA ,357 mag, but I may need to use DA some time. Is anyone acquainted with this gun? And do you think this a good choice for my needs? And I also have a SA .41 mag in case I get too far into real bear country.
