question re glock repair and maintainence

My workhorse practice pistol is a Glock 19 I bought as a police trade-in. I've run 20 to 30,000 rounds through it. It functions flawlessly but I've had a few breakdowns here and there. I had to replace a trigger pin (called trigger bar on the diagram) and a trigger spring. Today at the range after running 5 boxes of rounds through it the slide fell off, because the slide lock and spring were gone (I couldn't find them so I don't know if they broke or just fell out).

So I want to ask those who have more experience than me a few questions:

1. How many rounds should a Glock 9mm be able to fire before it's worn out and should be replaced? I fire pretty standard loads, not +P or NATO, usually 115 and 124 grain. Some of them are factory reloads.

2. I like to be able to depend on a gun working even if it is just for practice. So are there any parts I should consider replacing that might prevent a breakdown in the future?

Thanks for your comments.
