If you want me to invest millions, you had better damned well let me stick around and keep an eye on it. Seriously, how do people open factories in foreign countries without being able to go there and oversee the construction, startup, and operation?

You do realize that they're not giving the money to the President or the government, right? They're investing it to build or grow a business and create jobs.

How does the President benefit at all from that, except that he is an American enjoying the same robust economy as other Americans? It's not like the Monopoly guy with the monacle is handing him comedic bags of cash labeled with dollar signs and brimming with bills.
