Who needs emergency stuff anyways?

I was at my local Walmart to pick up some ammo when I overheard someone's conversation:

Person 1: "Look at all this emergency stuff. *ruffles through some stuff* Emergency backpack? Emergency food? Nothing is going to happen so who would need this?"
Person 2: "If there was an emergency, we can always run to the store before everyone else to get what we need."

I was on the next aisle over when I heard this. I saw them walk around to my aisle and they stopped and looked at the Aquatainers.

Person 1: "Wow, they even have containers to store water in."

They laughed and walked away. They seemed to be in their late teens, early twenties. It's just interesting to note how if they don't see the need to prepare, then there are thousands, if not millions of people who think the same way. Just thought I'd share this thought.
