I'm mainly here to soak up information while at work and keep filling my "survival info cache" I've been building over the years. I have a terrabyte hard drive with literally everything I could ever want to know on it. I keep a clone of it in a ferraday cage. the main things I prepare for are US currency collapse and possible EMP scenario. As I live in wa state there is also the possibility of "the overdue big one" (earthquake) they say should have happened by now, but preparing for the other two checks off the same boxes as possible earthquake.
I'm currently saving up to buy at least 5 acres of land somewhere in washington or idaho, it's a little intimidating though, so many factors to take into account and I've only got about 15k at the moment.
Has anyone else bought a few acres of land somewhere and have any suggestions? I know to stay away from HOA's, check and make sure there are no back-taxes owed, and make sure there is some kind of road access to said land before buying (as well as obv viewing the land first) but any other tips appreciated!
Hello from Washington
